Cooking Up Memories 8.5 x 11 Scrapbook Page with Pocket
By Judi Kauffman

Laminated scrapbook pages are great for recipe cookbooks and albums. Spills and fingerprints can be wiped off. Add an easel back that folds flat when not in use and a laminated page can stand on the counter while you are cooking. Clip the recipe you need to the front of the pocket to keep it handy.

Materials:

  • Banner American laminating pouches for page and recipe cards

  • Banner American easel back

  • QuikFinish laminating machine

  • Cookbookin’ Recipe Scrapbooking kit from Sulyn Industries (www.cookbookin.com)*

  • Cookbookin’ Recipe Scrapbooking shaped brads from Sulyn Industries

  • Bulldog clip from Design Originals (www.d-originals.com)

  • Awl or 1/16” hole punch

Instructions:

Step 1: Laminate 8.5” x 11” scrapbook paper. Laminate a piece of coordinating paper 7.5” x 4.5” for pocket.

Step 2: Punch or pierce holes in corners of pocket and background sheet. Attach pocket to background using the shaped brads.

Step 3: Write recipes on cards and laminate them.

Step 4: Attach one of the recipes to the front of the scrapbook page using a colorful bulldog clip; tuck the rest of the recipes in the pocket. Add laminated photos and recipes clipped from newspapers, or other memorabilia as desired.

Step 5: Add an easel back so the page will stand on a counter when recipes are in use.

* There are nine different Recipe Scrapbooking kits so choose the one(s) that fit the recipes you have selected. Mix and match as desired. Papers shown are from Sweet Delights and Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen.
